At Fife Group, we are working through the challenging conditions brought by Coronavirus and are following guidelines from the UK Government.
Our priority is the safety and wellbeing of our customers, suppliers, and employees, while working to ensure our services to essential customers are not disrupted. Storage, logistics, and distribution are listed as one of the businesses the government has requested should remain open to support the goods distribution network, subject to current Government legislation.
Our warehouses and self-stores are open by appointment only during this time for those customers who provide essential services, as per the Government guidelines. Customers moving into or out of their homes are also classed as essential and they should also phone to make the necessary arrangements. When on-site please follow the information displayed regarding hand washing and keeping social distancing.
Access will be strictly denied to ALL requests relating to non-essential goods and customers should obviously not be travelling to self stores, as this would be unlikely to be classed as “essential travel” under the current Government policy.
These are unprecedented times and we would ask for your support and cooperation in trying to contain the spread of this virus.
As a business, we are also taking the following actions:
- Limiting the number of staff and customers onsite to ensure social distancing
- Intensifying daily cleaning levels of our facilities, including cleaning door handles and other key touchpoint areas on a regular basis
- Providing customers with hand sanitisers and hand washing facilities
- Providing staff with hand sanitisers and disposable gloves as required
- Self-stores are open to non-business customers only
Training
To protect our customers and staff our training centre is currently closed as per Government legislation. Should any emergency training be required, then please contact us during business hours on 01592 651065 and we will do our best to make the necessary arrangements.
Self-Storage
During the lockdown, the self-stores are open by appointment only as detailed above.
If you are a business customer requiring emergency access, or a customer moving in or out of your house, then please call our Head Office on 01592 651065 to make an appointment to access your unit.
Only one customer is allowed in our reception area at any one time, to ensure social distancing guidelines are maintained. Our staff will sign customers in and out of their units to limit contact at reception.
We also ask customers to maintain a safe distance away from staff and other customers while accessing their storage unit.
Our staff have intensified the daily cleaning levels of our storage areas, especially in key touchpoint areas – e.g. entrance doors, handles, trolleys, etc.
We will continue to monitor the situation and the information provided by the UK government and public health officials and our own safety measures.
