Fife Training Services provides a range of health and safety courses to employers and employees to enable them to understand and comply with regulations and help avoid hazardous workplace practices.

Our teaching is both practical and theoretical; our instructors are experienced and professional. Candidates will receive a Fife Training Services certificate upon completion.

Manual Handling Training

 

This half-day course informs candidates about the risks of manual handling of loads in the workplace. It ensures that they are informed about how to assess the risks of any activity and minimise the risk of injury. This course is designed for any employee in any workplace where any level of manual handling is involved in workplace activities.

This half-day course will provide candidates with an introduction to working safely with Abrasive Wheels. This course is designed for anyone who may use Abrasive Wheels in their workplace

Abrasive Wheel specifications

Wheel Mounting & storage

Inspecting for damaged or faulty equipment

Effects on users health

Control measures

Banksman / Loading Dock Training

 

This half-day course will provide candidates with an introduction to working safely whilst guiding a vehicle in a workplace and is suitable for any person responsible for assisting in the manoeuvring of vehicles.

This course covers the following:

The causes of accidents involving vehicles in the workplace

The legislation & legal responsibilities covering vehicle movement in the workplace

The risks involved in the movement of vehicles in the workplace

Control measures to alleviate the risk

Manoeuvring difficulties from a drivers point of view

Drivers & Banksman obligations

Recognised hand signals
