FAIB 2‑Day Mental Health First Aid & Wellbeing Course provides participants with the practical skills and confidence needed to support colleagues who may be experiencing mental health difficulties. This programme focuses on recognising early signs of poor mental wellbeing, offering initial guidance, and helping individuals access appropriate support when needed.
Across two days, learners explore key mental health topics, including stress, anxiety, depression, and more complex conditions. The course also covers how to approach sensitive conversations, how to respond when someone is in distress, and how to use a structured action plan to guide supportive interactions. Alongside crisis‑related scenarios, participants gain insight into workplace wellbeing, legal responsibilities, and best practice for supporting others in returning to or remaining in work.
Training is delivered through a blend of group discussion, instructor‑led teaching, and practical activities. By the end of the course, delegates will have a clear understanding of how to respond safely, confidently, and professionally to mental health concerns. Successful learners receive a FAIB‑approved Mental Health & Wellbeing First Aider certificate, which recognises their ability to support mental health within a workplace setting.
